Back @ LBCC! After a one year "vacation" @ CSULB, we're back on the track at Long Beach City College's Veterans Stadium. Everything else is back to normal. Peruse the website, sign in and we'll see you Saturday, March 14, 2009.

Divisions |

Schools will be divided into two divisions. Large School & Small School: If your school is designated as CIF Division I or II you will be considered Large School. If your school is Designated as CIF Division III or IV, you will be considered Small School. Each division will consist of three subdivisions: Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity and Boys Frosh/Soph. There will be a check off area on DirectAthletics.com when you enter your athletes. Team confirmations will be posted on this site as entries are received. If you are definitely planning on attending, please email ehauck@lbschools.net or call Ed Hauck at (562)433-0481, ext. 6852 to guarantee your place. |

Entries:
Two athletes may be entered in each individual event and one relay team may be entered. The Devil's Mile will be flexible for entries depending on the total number entered. If you need to add or delete athletes after you have submitted your entries, please email Ed Hauck at ehauck@lbschools.net or call (562)433-0481, ext. 6852 no later than Wednesday, March 11th. Absolutely no adds the day of the meet (only subs). Entry Fees:
A flat rate of $135.00 per subdivision or $5.00 per individual per event and $15.00 per relay. Receipt of entries indicates a binding agreement to compete. The entry fees are required whether you show up or not. |

Devil's Mile |

A little fartlek/surging after-the-rough-stuff-meet-workout. Encourage all your runners who say, " Yeah, I can do that!" Can they hang?
Briefly, the Devil-Take-the-hindmost-mile will eliminate the trailing 2 or 3 runners from the field first at the 400m mark, then at each successive 200 meters. The " Red Coated " officials will point out or "tag-out" the laggers at each mark. The trick is to know when to speed up...if you can. There will be 2 or 3 races BFS/GV/BV.
